Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, detailed focused and experienced Events Manager to join their team on an initial 6-month contract basis. This role involves planning, managing, and delivering high quality events including alumni, fundraising and stewardship events in Oxford. Events Manager Responsibilities Some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to_ Plan, manage and deliver key events Coordinate event logistics, including staffing, catering and communications Manage event budgets and financial tracking Develop marketing materials and communications for events Produce event briefs, attendance lists and running orders Maintain a library of event plans and templates Liaise with internal departments and external vendors Event Manager Rewards In addition to a competitive salary the Event Manager will receive the following benefits_ 38 days annual leave including bank holidays Generous university pension scheme University discounts and benefits Free lunch at all times when college meals are available Free on-site parking Time off in lieu if attending evening or weekend events The Company This college has a thriving culture of research and intellectual engagement and is renowned for its friendliness and informality, combined with its passion for learning. Events Manager Experience To be suitable for this position, you will have demonstrable experience in a similar Events related role, where you have experience of delivering successful events and dealing with high-net-worth individuals. A high degree of customer service skills and professionalism is required. Previous experience working in a college/university/education setting would be helpful but is not essential. To be successful, candidates will need to possess strong communication skills and be a collaborative team player. The Events manager will be creative, proactive and solutions oriented, and will be able to work calmly under pressure. Location This position is located near Central Oxford (OX2) and there is parking on-site available. They are situated close to public transport links. 37.5 Hours per week.  Some flexible/ hybrid working available.  They could also consider part time applicants. Please note that this is a fixed term contract for 6 months minimum, to start before the 22 nd June. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to this.
